About the New Big Picture
The Big Picture Theater & Café has long been a cornerstone of culture and connection in the Mad River Valley. Now, it's being reimagined as The Big Picture Community Hub for the Arts — a vibrant, inclusive gathering space where film, food, music, events, and creativity come together.
Spearheaded by The Bigger Picture Community Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, this transformation is guided by an energetic board and committed community members. The Bigger Picture Community Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building and sustaining a thriving arts and culture hub in Vermont's Mad River Valley. Through creativity, collaboration, and a commitment to community, we aim to set a new standard for rural entertainment venues. Our mission is to build a welcoming, dynamic space that reflects the creativity and diversity of the Mad River Valley — and we can’t do it without your help.

Donations
Prefer to give directly? Every dollar helps support youth programs, cultural events, pop-ups, and access to the arts for all.
We truly cannot do this without the support of our community. Your involvement — whether as a donor, member, sponsor, or volunteer — fuels our ability to provide accessible, inspiring, and inclusive programming.
OUR LEGACY & LEADERSHIP
We honor the legacy created by Claudia Becker, Eugene Jarecki, Kevin McMillion (who will continue to be the café's director), and the original Big Picture team—many of whom are still actively involved in shaping this next chapter.
The project is driven by a passionate Organizing and Advisory Committee, which includes artists, educators, entrepreneurs, and longtime community members who believe deeply in the power of the arts to bring people together.
